Aspidistra elatior is a popular foliage plant, originally from Southeast Asia, now cultivated worldwide. Commonly named Cast Iron Plant, it lives up to this expectation. Due to its rhizomorphic roots, it’s highly tolerant of stress indoors and outdoors. Pot sizes range from 15-45 cm / 6-18”, this variety works great as an accent, centerpiece, patio plant, or for landscaping in warmer USDA (Gulf State) zones. Foliage ranges from light to dark green.
